🏪 Now that we have the PlayStation Store in our survey, we can compare which online shopfronts are used most on their respective consoles. And the PS Store (just) takes the lead here – 38% of PS5 owners use the PlayStation Store, compared to 37% of Switch owners who use Nintendo’s eShop, and 31% of Xbox owners who visit the Microsoft Store.
📺 Popularized by the Samsung Gaming Hub, a new product that’s come onto the market in the last few years is the gaming TV, which lets players stream titles straight from their device without the need for a console. An intriguing insight here: 22% of UK IKEA shoppers own one. A potential market there for bespoke gaming furniture, perhaps.
