Smart Shopping, Seamless Innovation
For tech-savvy shoppers, the in-store experience must seamlessly blend innovation with practicality, as their expectations extend beyond traditional retail demands. While 47.8% prioritise a wider product selection and 45.9% value free gifts, technology plays a significant role in shaping their preferences. A notable 23.8% seek more technology to provide product information, highlighting a desire for digital integration that enhances decision-making rather than just novelty. However, only 15.5% prioritise immersive and interactive experiences, suggesting that functionality trumps entertainment. Social media-friendly aesthetics (11.8%) rank low, reinforcing that visual appeal alone is insufficient without substance. With just 3.5% expressing full satisfaction with current in-store experiences, retailers catering to tech-focused consumers must strike a balance between product variety, efficient service, and digital enhancements that provide genuine value rather than superficial engagement.
