GWI USA Q3 2024 is now live in the platform! 🥳 🇺🇲
Our new wave of GWI USA Q3 2024 is featuring a revamped news, content & print media section and plenty of new options added to existing questions like our named search AI tools and gaming activities question.
✨ Here are just some of the insights from this wave’s data:
📰 Our list of news publishers has had a revamp. Layering these publishers with other parts of our data can lead to some very interesting insights – for example, Traditional Home magazine might have the least polarized readership in America, with 34% of its readers planning to vote Democrat, and exactly the same figure doing so for Republicans.
🤖 16% of Americans have used ChatGPT in the last month, including a quarter of Gen Z. The chatbot is a staple already for young Americans - in the world of browsers and search tools, ChatGPT only trails Google Chrome, and Safari in terms of usage.
🎮 Gamers are more likely to have purchased digital games/products (17%) than physical copies of games (13%) in the last month. Those who primarily use games consoles are the most likely to pick up a physical copy, but digital downloads are still the preferred method of acquiring games for the console audience.
🚨❗Other important stuff❗
We’ve updated our news, content & print media section. The new approach gives clients the opportunity to understand how much time people spend reading magazines and newspapers, how often they read them and in which format.
The new data on time spent, frequency, and engagement is already available.
We’re conducting additional quality checks on the new data for format of reading newspapers and magazines questions (i.e. if people are reading a publication via print, online, social media, etc.), so this question hasn’t been included in the initial release to keep release timelines on track.
